About Megan

Picture
Megan Tatum Miller has been crafting since she was a very little girl.  Whether it was pony bead animals with her mom, crocheting with her Great Grandma Lucy, or mastering the art of using a 60-year-old sewing machine with her Mamaw, Megan wanted to create.  Crafting became an outlet to relax as well as give unexpected gifts to friends.  That is what Megan wants to help you provide for your loved ones as well.

She lives in Richmond, VA with her husband, Ben, and dog, Scout.  Their apartment is full of a lot of music, creativity, and love.  Ben and Scout are sometimes featured in her blanket photos too.

When not crafting, Megan is  a musical theatre performer and travels the country doing shows with different theatre companies.  The great thing is that the blankets and her portable sewing machine travel with her. To see more of her performance adventures, click the button below.

Pegee of Williamsburg

Megan is also the granddaughter-in-law of Peggy Abbott Miller, pattern creator and costume designer that. Her 23 copyrighted patterns range from a 1608-1628 Ladies' day dress and Men's doublet, and a Revolutionary War uniform to a 1910 motoring duster. In recognition of the 50th anniversary of Gone With The Wind, Peggy created Scarlett O'Hara's famed Barbecue Party Dress, researched from the original garment in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art collection. Other designs include the Green Velveteen Portieres Dress, Bonnie's Blue Riding Habit, and the Burgundy Dress. Since Peggy's passing in 2016, her patterns and designs have gone by the wayside. Megan made it her mission to preserve Peggy's legacy and let others learn from her research and dedication. Click the link to learn more!
